I believe that this is very important and wanted to get it off my chest and spread awareness of this whole situation.
I'm sure you have heard ISIS is holding Christian 47-year-old Japanese Journalist Kenji Goto and 26-year-old Jordanian pilot Maoz al-Kasaesbeh hostage. The Muslim extremist terrorist group have demanded an exchange for the two hostages lives in return for the freedom of al Quaeda operative, failed suicide bomber Ms. al-Rishawi. They demanded the exchange be made between the turkish and Syrian borders at sundown. No exchange was made however because Jordanian officials wanted proof that their pilot was alive before the deal was struck. No real proof of Mr. Kasawsbeh's life has been seen since last December. The whole situation was in a deadlock and the deadline passed without a word. No new information has been passed about the two hostages since then.
While i personally think that Mr. Kasehsbeh's demise has already occurred, I still have no idea what to think about the fate of Kenji Goto. I very much hope that he has survived, he has gone through so much up to this point. He told the Japanese people not to blame the Syrians. I have grown to respect him and his courage and pray for him fervently and constantly check for any updates on the whole situation. There has been an awareness campaign for him that started in Japan who's slogan is "I am Kenji" who want him to return safely home.
Edit: I've received word just now that Kenji Goto has been killed and beheaded. Though authorities are still trying to authenticate the news the source seems consistent with other IS sources. May peace be upon Kenji and may God put his soul to rest. God bless you Mr. Goto, see you on the other side..
